Spring is a beautiful time to be married in Virginia!
In March and April the flowers burst forth from their winter slumber including the daffodils, redbuds and dogwoods. The mountains are covered with a bright green freshness as the new leaves of the Tulip Poplars appear. On those chilly evenings, relax with a s’mores and wine gathering by the bonfire or stay indoors with the roaring 13′ fireplace.
In May, as the days grow longer, the leaves turn a darker hue with maturing foliage and the Iris burst forth with the sweet scent of purples and blues. Our wedding field is thick with grass and dotted with clover. Wake up to a relaxing morning of pre-ceremony yoga with your wedding party and enjoy all the day’s preparations before your ceremony!
June quickly welcomes the summer months but not before offering an assortment of Lily blooms that line the wildflower garden at the Montfair Wedding Field. On the lake the Lily Pads offer a beautiful lakeside accent for smaller, intimate ceremonies. Dance the night away on our tented deck with your family and friends.
Weekend dates during March, April, May and June are available and now at a 20% discount off the listed prices. Montfair’s rustic ceremony and reception venue is located 25 minutes west of Charlottesville in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our cedar cottages and Beauchamp House may accommodate a maximum of 48 guests while our event lodge and tented deck can accommodate up to 200 guests. Lakeside yard games, two sets of banquet chairs, tables, evening bonfire and an onsite supervisor is included in all of our wedding packages.
