Montfair COVID 19 Precautions and Information
Montfair Resort Farm continues to monitor the developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and is following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health and government authorities. We are paying particularly close attention to the latest updates from the Virginia Department of Health. Visitors are encouraged to always exercise healthy travel habits when traveling and to follow guidance issued by official sources of public health information. Visitors may find helpful information about traveling in Virginia during this time at Virginia.org - Virginia’s official travel website and visitcharlottesville.org for local updates.
Given the current information provided by the CDC and local government authorities, our doors remain open and we continue to welcome guests. We are committed to doing all we can to protect our guests, employees and community. Our goal is to provide a safe environment and a landscape that offers respite and closeness to the healing power of nature.
We continue to address the potential spread of coronavirus and we are following all hygienic CDC recommendations. In order to keep families safe who have unvaccinated children we continue to air out cottages 24 hours after guests stay in a cottage before our housekeeping staff enters to clean. Your cottage is then cleaned to the highest possible standard with Clorox disinfectant and all high touch surfaces are disinfected. Staff practice social distance and wear masks. All beds are made with freshly laundered sheets, blankets and bedspreads. Easy Self- check in is provided.
Montfair employees wear gloves and wash hands often with soap and water. We ask sick employees to stay home.
We encourage our guests to follow CDC guidance to prevent the spread of infectious diseases by maintaining a safe distance between yourself and others; washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; wear a mask when in public or entering the Montfair Office and most importantly, staying home if you feel sick.
In the event that you need to cancel or postpone your reservation our cancellation policy options for cottage stays are:
- Cancellations must be made 14 days prior to arrival. No Shows and/or cancellations within 14 days of arrival will result in forfeiture of deposit. There is a $50.00 processing fee for reservation cancellations made 14 days prior to your reservation. The Deposit is non- refundable if you cancel anytime under 14 days prior to your reservation.
- If you would like to postpone your reservation for the future, Montfair will hold your deposit and be happy to put it towards a future stay.
If you have underlying conditions, feel ill or experience flu-like symptoms, it is very important to stay at home, not travel and seek medical care. This is an important opportunity to flatten the curve of the COVID Virus.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at montfair@montfairresortfarm.com or call during Montfair’s business hours 9 am to 5 pm- 7 days a week.
