Join us on Sunday, November 8th from 12 – 6pm at Montfair Resort Farm as we celebrate the unveiling of our new LOVE sculpture, handcrafted by our own Joe Sheridan! We’ll have hot apple cider, walking tours of the property and cottages, light refreshments and a bonfire.
The “Love Sign” is composed of woven twigs and branches and sits at the entrance to Montfair, over-looking Browns Cove and surrounded by the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains.
A perfect backdrop for wedding and romantic getaway photos, the Love Sign is now a special part of what we have to offer at Montfair, and connects us to the state-wide LOVEworks network. Other nearby destinations with Love Art on display are Veritas Vineyards and Cardinal Point Winery.
Joe Sheridan, a co-owner of Montfair Resort Farm, is recognized as a Master Craftsman by the Artisan Center of Virginia. He is an artist, teacher and curator and his work has been shown in many galleries in Virginia, including Les Yeux du Monde and the Shenandoah Valley Art Center. Joe teaches Rustic Furniture workshops and consults about art and sculpture for his private business Rustic Arts.
