We are honored that Therapeutic Adventures has hosted their Women’s Spring Fly Fishing Retreat at Montfair for many years. This retreat is a chance for breast cancer survivors to come together in community and learn about fly fishing. Therapeutic Adventures reserves the Montfair cottages for the women’s shared accommodations and the Event Lodge for all communal activities. During the day the women split into groups, one group stays in the lodge and learns how to tie fishing lures while the other group goes to Sugar Hollow and fishes in the Moormans River. The groups switch activities after lunch. They gather in the lodge in the evenings for meals, yoga, massages, fellowship and music before heading back to a cottage to rest up for the next day. We always love sharing Montfair with this wonderful inspiring group!
