Whether you’re grabbing lunch between vineyard visits. winding down after a day of adventure, or just want to grab take out pizza to bring back to Montfair these spots will leave you happily full and planning your next bite.

For Lunch or Casual Dinner:

• Smoked Kitchen & Tap – Bold flavors, hearty portions, and a rustic-modern vibe. Try the brisket sandwich, pulled pork, or smoked wings on the patio.

Claudius Crozet Park: A friendly, low-key stop for anyone traveling with children or looking for a quick stroll. Open green space, walking trails, tennis and pickleball courts, and shaded picnic areas.

Crozet Arts and Crafts Festival (May & October): This festival is a celebration of creativity and community. 100+ regional artisans, live music, local food, wine & craft beer. Held twice a year at Crozet Park with beautiful views and easy parking.

Artisans Studio Tour (First weekend of November): This self-guided studio tour is a true gem for art enthusiasts. Meet the artists in their working studios—from potters and painters to jewelers and fiber artists. Drive through stunning fall foliage as you explore tucked-away creative spaces. Many of the artisans featured on the tour are located in the Crozet, White Hall or Free Union areas so they are an easy drive from the resort!

• Knights Gambit Vineyard – Small, inviting, and peaceful with rolling vineyards and Adirondack chairs to sink into.

• Grace Estate Winery – Set high on a ridge with big mountain views, live music, and lively tasting events. They also host trivia on Friday nights!

• Glass House Winery – Tropical greenhouse meets vineyard with handcrafted wines and chocolate made on-site. They also recently opened a brewery so this is a great spot for both beer and wine lovers! Try their chocolate and wine tasting.

• Fallen Tree Vineyard – A winery brand new to the area in 2024 with beautiful views, and unique tasting menu.

Breweries:

• Starr Hill Brewery – A craft beer pioneer with a large taproom, rotating seasonal brews, food trucks, and live music. They have Trivia every Tuesday night if you’re visiting during the week!

• Pro Re Nata Brewery – Craft beer, local music, pizza and ice cream. This is a family-friendly spot that is great to spend a few hours at!
