Free Fishing Wednesdays at Montfair

Fish for large bass, crappie, and sunfish on our peaceful lake. Stop by the main office between 9 AM and 4 PM to sign a liability release form before you begin. Please follow all posted rules in the canoe area. Life vests are required for everyone while canoeing, and children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Need gear? You can purchase a bamboo fishing rod at the office for $6. Bait is available at Wyant’s Grocery or the Piedmont Store in White Hall. Montfair is also open for day use Sunday–Thursday. For just $5 per person, enjoy hiking, fishing, and canoeing. Trail maps are available at the front office.
